Get more backlinks from “Recent Comments” & “Top Commentator”

Many webmaster know you can get backlinks by adding comments with your backlinks. But this backlinks will be showed only on the page where you add your comments. But there is other way to get better backlinks from comments.

The first one is to get backlinks from Recent Comments. Many blogs have a section in the sidebar or in the footer which show the recent comments posted at their blogs. On most of the website the recent comments list will also show your backlink.

So, how do you find blogs with recent comments section? Most of blogs who use this feature use plugin like Recent Comments widget plugin for Wordpress. Almost all of this plugin use the text “Recent Comments” , so all you have to do is to search on Google the following: “recent comments” your keywords. You just have to replace your keywords with your own keywords to search blogs with related contents as your site/blog because backlinks from related sites are good for your site/blog.

The second one is to get backlinks from Top Commentator. It’s actually the same as recent comments but your backlink will stay longer in de sidebar if you are in the list. To find blogs who use top commentator feature you just search on Google the following: “top commentator” your keywords.  You just have to replace your keywords just like if you search for recent comments. Many blogs use plugins for this feature like the top commentator widget plugin for Wordpress.

To utilize recent comments and top commetator to build your backlinks I recommend you not to spam and add comments that are related to the blogpost. Why? because if you don’t do this your comments may end up as spam and deleted by the blog owner. Also don’t forget to check if the links in the recent comments and top commentator list are DoFollow links before adding your comments.

Hi Cesar,

This is actually quite a good tip. When I post comments on websites, those sites are almost always related to the subject of my own blog. When my backlinks are listed in ‘Recent Comments’ lists, the site will always be relevant.

Good one to keep in mind. So hopefully this comment will stay in your list for a while ;-)

Greetings,

I have been blogging since July of this year and had heard of backlinks, but didn’t know much about them or what to really do. I mean since I have been blogging I have been commenting on other peoples blogs leaving quality comments as I know that this is important, but I didn’t know how important the recent comments and top commetors. It sounds like they are important and i didn’t know you could do a search for them. It really sounds like a good way to find other blogs with the same subject that you are blogging about so you can quickly build backlinks. For the most part I have been just doing google searches for blogs, but now I am going to focus my search a bit more.

Thanks for the tips!
Jim

I was just looking at some of my backlinks today and noticed that I had a ton from the same site so after doing some investigation I noticed that the recent comments were showing up on every one of the pages.

I’m not sure how much weight they give overall but it’s really nice to see so many pop up, I’m sure it helps overall.

I assume they disappear after you’ve dropped from the recent comments but still very interesting.
